Dear Curious Folk,

Journey into the heart of India this month with Zameen: A Documentary. This online video depicts a remote Indian community fighting to maintain its way of life amidst large scale dam development in their lands. Click the image below to immerse yourself in their world and their incredible resilience.

The documentary accompanies a contemporary dance and multimedia work of the same name, touring to Sydney this October long weekend. Mysterious, beautiful and utterly captivating, Zameen the performance is a remarkable collaboration between India's foremost contemporary dance company Attakkalari, CuriousWorks and artists Jehan Kanga, Leah Barclay and S. Shakthidharan. Sydneysiders, do not miss out on this rare opportunity to see one of India's best dance companies collaborate with our home grown talent. Click the image below for booking details.

If you're in Melbourne, our Meet+Eat gala event on the same weekend still has a few places left! Alongside a series of beautiful documentaries, there is also a smorgasbord of local musical talent, including young opera star Victoria Lanbourn, classical music extraordinaire David Osborne, Iraqi pop star Yousif Aziz, Samoan folk singer Maria Tuua White and youth choirs from Meadows Primary School and Gladstone Park Primary School! Zameen: one of India's most exciting dance companies in collaboration with our homegrown talent.
Meet+Eat: stories and songs of immigration, music, personal histories, cooking and new friendships.
