Help Us Discover Another Australia
As somebody, like us, who has been curious about the untold stories of Australia’s multicultural communities, we hope you have been intrigued, moved, inspired and entertained by our films, theatre and other arts projects.

As the end of financial year approaches, are you able to help us take the next step on our mission to show ‘another Australia’ and create the next generation of storytellers?

Your generosity is (almost) as important as your curiosity to this mission.

CuriousWorks is a registered Australian charity so your donations are tax deductible, while adding social, cultural and economic value to the communities we work with.
We are grateful for the government and private funding that in the past year has enabled such highlights as:
    • Riz, our first feature film, which was accepted for the 2015 Sydney Film Festival – a coming-of-age drama that sheds light on the city’s cultural and demographic divisions
    • A Counting & Cracking of Heads – a play, tracking a family’s four-generation journey from Sri Lanka to western Sydney, in development with the Melbourne Theatre Company and Belvoir
    • The Other Journey – an acclaimed multi-media art installation telling personal migration stories through video, audio recordings, music and animated light projections
    • Mamu – our short mysterious film drama with a backdrop of ancient Aboriginal customs, that has screened at a Canadian film festival and been broadcast nationally on SBS and NITV
    • Meet+Eat series 2 – people from different cultural communities come together to share their food and stories in six short documentaries seen by thousands of online viewers
    • Our ‘Curious Creators’ group expanding from six to 20 – these are the most talented and motivated graduates from our training programs for Western Sydney youth who gained feature film experience with crew roles on Riz
    • Numerous other community film projects with asylum seekers, the NSW Aboriginal Legal Service, Child Abuse Prevention Services and kids’ arts festivals in Sydney’s western suburbs
Over the next three years, CuriousWorks will embark on an even more ambitious program of high-profile artistic projects, create exciting new opportunities for our ‘Curious Creators’ and start fresh grassroots programs in schools to discover and encourage western Sydney’s next generation of story-tellers and cultural leaders.

You can support this unique journey of artistic and cultural discovery by donating online, or email us via to arrange an alternate source of payment. We thank you from the bottom of our curious hearts for whatever you can offer.
