CuriousWorks 2016 Annual Report

Our latest Annual Report is out and once again, we reflect on another amazing year.

2016 has been an exciting year of significant creative development and community engagement. We have produced some outstanding public outcomes across the Artistic, Curious Creators and Community Programs. It was the year we launched Colony, our signature new multi-platform arts project and introduced audiences to the futurist dystopia, When the Tide Comes InWe also completed production on the multi-platform artwork Laka (Myth), which is now in post-production stages and scheduled for launch over 2017 & 2018.

CuriousWorks continued training and mentoring a talented group of young emerging artists through our Curious Creators Program and engaged over 500 young people to tell their own stories, in their own ways, through film, theatre, photography, multi-platform and a variety of other art forms through our Grassroots Programs Beyond RefugeReFill and Connecting to Country.

If that gets you curious, you can download and read the full Annual Report here, which details the depth and breadth of our work in Western Sydney and beyond.

Join us for a screening of 'Sydney Stories'

Continuing our wonderful partnership with Settlement Services International, CuriousWorks are excited to be facilitating another filmmaking workshop series with newly arrived refugees, as part of the New Beginnings Festival program. A number of short films are currently in development that explore the concepts of place and belonging.

SSI, CuriousWorks and the artists invite you to join us for a showcase screening of these exciting new films on Thursday 29th June 2017 at 107 Projects.
