After all the hard work, the CuriousWorks team and our Curious Creators have finally released our webseries Las Rosas – Western Sydney’s first telenovela online. We had our official launch party at the Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre on 6 October to a full house. Thank you to everyone who came! We are so grateful for all the love and support you have shown us throughout this journey.  We were so honoured to have Lyn Watson give her educational Welcome to Country, to have Lena Nahlous from Diversity Arts Australia speak so eloquently about the need for diverse story-telling, to have Hernan Flores and Luciana Valentina give their beautiful performances, and lastly, to have the series officially launched by our series director Daisy Montalvo’s mum, Mama Montalvo.

We then said goodbye to Las Rosas at our wrap party – Fiesta en Casa: Las Rosas at Blacktown Arts Centre on 27 October . It was a colourful afternoon filled with good food, good music, and good friends- even if it was a little bittersweet to say goodbye. Thank you to Arepas La Reina for the amazing arepas, Monir Rowshan for opening the event, to Hernan Flores and Luciana Valentina for coming back to play more of their beautiful music, and to all of you who were able to come down and celebrate with us.

You can now watch the full series here. Please help us get this webseries out to the world by viewing and subscribing to our Youtube page and sharing it to your networks and social media.
