Let Me Know When You Get Home had a four day creative development at PYT Fairfield from June 11 – 14th. Through the process, writer Miranda Aguilar worked closely with Valerie Berry as her director on readying the script, working with a full cast of readers, and preparing for the play’s first public reading of the complete work in progress.

Though the creative development time was short, having a public reading of the work gave Miranda the change to evaluate how the play worked as a whole. After focusing on its main characters at Long Table in April,  this creative development allowed Miranda to tighten the structure and think more deeply about the relationships between all characters in the work. The work was received warmly by the audience as a heart-warming, authentically Western Sydney story. At the moment, there are no more scheduled developments for the rest of this year, but we’re working closely with Miranda on the next stages of the work.
