This week, Shawn Spina was invited to speak and share his short film, Prone to the Drone, at Fairfield RSL  for the Hume Housing Annual General Meeting.

Shawn Spina spoke about  the process of making his film and what inspired him to write this work.  The audience came our impressed by the work and touched  by its message of social isolation and finding a way to reach out during your darkest moments. Well done, Shawn!

Prone to the Drone will have its next screening as a part of Urban Stories: Prototype, our 2019 showcase of our new and developing works from CuriousWorks artists, free and open to the public. Come join us at Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre on Tuesday, November 12 at 6:00PM!

Prone to the Drone premiered at the Sydney Film Festival and has been travelling across Australia, including recently showing at Bundaberg, Sawtell and Toowoomba with the Travelling Film Festival, at the Museum of Contemporary Art’s Art is for Everyone weekend, and at the Canberra Mental Film Festival.
