FUNPARK is looking for speakers for 2021’s Mount Druitt Press Conference program!
Do you know a young person 17 – 24 years of age who is interested in public speaking, youth leadership or local activism?
FUNPARK‘s Mt Druitt Press Conference is a curated conversation led by young local cultural leaders. The speakers attend a series of workshops, where they share lived experiences of growing up in Bidwill. From there local issues and solutions are raised in a conversation that is presented to an audience of community members and local change makers.
Participants will:
- Be paid a speakers fee
- Get training in public speaking and problem solving
- Meet other like-minded youth
- Work with industry mentors and cultural elders
- Get opportunities to speak at various events in the Blacktown LGA and beyond
There are three separate conversations happening this year which highlight the on-going issues impacting specific youth groups within Mount Druitt.
