CuriousWorks bids a fond farewell to Diego Murillo as he moves on to Western Sydney University. Friday, 2nd of August 2024 marks his last day at CuriousWorks.

Where do we even begin with the incredible Diego?

Guided by his love of film and community, Diego has been a lighthouse at CuriousWorks across the years. From early contract work on Las Rosas to Curiously West Film Club, Diego has been our brilliant Social Enterprise Manager – always striving to empower culturally and racially marginalised people from Western Sydney and beyond. Here's a few words from the man, himself:

"As Social Enterprise Manager at CuriousWorks, I focused on empowering emerging artists from Western Sydney through initiatives like Rise and Grind & Curiously West Film Club. I'm grateful for mentors like Caitlin, Vanessa & Elias, who guided me along the way as well as a big thanks to Andrea Lim for teaching me the ropes of community-based storytelling."

It is a full circle moment for Diego as he was a student at WSU & is now taking on a new role there. Congrats, Diego & thank you for all of your hard work. We can't wait to celebrate all that you'll achieve there!
