Utopia: Tranquility

Workshops, exhibition

2025

What does peace and well-being look like in the eyes of young people?

CuriousWorks staff Samantha Barahona, Andrea Nealy & Kirsten Maglalang co-led the 'Tranquility' edition of Utopia alongside WSU academic Dr Karin Louise and Visual Artist Emmanuel Asante at Liverpool Boy and Girl High School.

The 'Tranquility' workshops supported young people to create their own artwork, engaging them in conversations about why and how creative practices and art-making influence cultural wellbeing and how this relates to bigger-picture issues of racism and discrimination.

The 2025 exhibition launch occurred at PYT Fairfield on Wednesday 21 May 2025. The exhibition ran from the 22nd of May to 24th of May 2025.
