Testing Grounds recently wrapped up for 2024! To celebrate, we took some time out to reflect on what we learned and took from the year. These reflections culminated in these last day of the year zines. Watch this space to see how the Testing Grounds projects continue to develop in 2025.

Testing Grounds is a creative development and personal mentorship program for emerging artists interested in the creation and development of new work over a 8 – 9 month period. The 2024 mentees include:

  • Addy Fong, who is working on a comedy short film called PRAWN CHIP CORN CHIP and is being mentored by Grace Tan
  • Cristobal Olguin, who is working on a horror feature called The House of Ash and Smoke and is being mentored by Natalia Figueroa Barroso
  • Wendy Qi Zhang, who is working on a digital exhibition called Tea Time for your Soft Body and is being mentored by Monica Lim, Henry Lai-Pyne, Susan Kosti, Narjis Mirzaa & Sunny Kim.

Testing Grounds is produced by Miranda Aguilar and supported by Screen NSW.

Working with artists and communities in South West Sydney, we actively shape a future culture that is vibrant, democratic, generative, and relevant for Australia and beyond. Let’s keep this going. Support our work today!
