Last week, we wrapped up our program Future Culture and what can we say – the future is indeed BEAMING! Over the past nine months, we have had the privilege of learning from and sharing space with our Arts Worker Interns: Kirsten Maglalang and Kobra Sayyadi as well as our Artists in Residence: Emma Pham and Cassandra Li.
Kirsten, Kobra, Emma & Cass – a huge thank you for your kind spirits, eagerness, and generative conversations. On our last day together, we took some time to reflect on how Future Culture has impacted your practices as well as on how it has shaped CuriousWorks. Needless to say – from our end, it has been a fruitful and meaningful time.
Here’s some words from the program’s Creative Producer, Miranda Aguilar: “It’s been such a privilege to share time, space and care with the Future Culture cohort. It is very easy to despair when faced with the horrors of the world, but running this program was one small way to build the kind of future we deserve: a future that is kinder, softer, more loving, more radical.”
Let’s give a round of applause to the Future Culture 2024-25 cohort! We can’t wait to hear all about your next journeys.
